Berliner Architects recently completed design criteria documents for a design build access control project on the SOCCCD Saddleback Campus that incorporates all doors and entries throughout the entire campus. Berliner began working with the campus by interviewing stakeholders to gain an understanding and consensus on necessary upgrades, providing a recommendation report to apply to each door. Working with technology specialists PlanNet, Berliner was able to fully survey, evaluate, and inventory all doors and incorporate this into a full report that is currently being used as criteria documents for the design build team, lead by access control specialists. Berliner is now serving as Criteria Architect on that team, ensuring everything listed in the recommendations report is taken into consideration and incorporated.
