Project Architect

Job Description

Berliner Architects is currently seeking a Project Architect with 10-15 years of experience who shares our passion for thoughtfully designed spaces and making a difference in the community.

Your Approach

You are a strong, self-directed professional who can lead a team from kickoff through design, documentation, and construction administration. You are passionate about community-based design, equity, and sustainable design. You have a strong design sense and technical skills to bring those designs to life.

Job Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in architectural design, technical drawing, project management, and 3D modeling.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture.

  • Strong technical working experience in Revit and AutoCAD is required and non-negotiable.

  • Management and organization skills to lead projects from schematic design to construction administration.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including graphic, oral, and written communication. Must be able to maintain close communication with clients, consultants, vendors, and team members.

  • Licensed Architect with the State of California

  • Preferred Experience with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and performing complex code analysis and implementation.

Interior Designer

Job Description

Berliner Architects is currently seeking an Interior Designer with 5-8 years’ experience in interior architecture, space planning, finish direction and selection, reflected ceiling plans, and lighting. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for thoughtfully designed spaces and making a difference in the community in which we all live.

Your Approach

You are a strong, self-directed professional who can support a team from kickoff through design, documentation, and construction administration. You are passionate about community-based design, equity, and sustainable design. You have a strong design sense and technical skills to bring those designs to life.

Job Requirements

  • 5-8 years’ experience in interior architectural design, technical drawing, project management, and 3D modeling.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or interior architecture.

  • Certification with the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ), the California Council for Interior Design Certification,  preferred.

  • Strong technical working experience in Revit and AutoCAD is required and non-negotiable.

  • Management and organization skills to support projects from schematic design to construction administration.

Internship

Job Description

Berliner Architects seeks Interns with an interest in working on Higher Education, K-12, Institutional, Religious, Entertainment and Creative Office projects. We’re looking for someone currently attending a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree program in Architecture or Interior Architecture with strong technical skills in Revit and AutoCAD. Model building, research, and other visualization expertise is a plus.

Job Requirements

  • 2nd year + student studying Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or interior architecture.

  • Previous work or internship experience preferred.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Passion for working on K-12, Higher Education, Institutional, Religious, Entertainment and
    Creative Office projects.

Salary Range

$20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
