Bank of America

Client: Douglas Emmett

Scope: Renovation

Size: 150,000 SF

Completion: 2004

Project Manager: Richard Berliner, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, ALEP

As part of this commercial tenant improvement project, Berliner designed the renovation of the Bank of America building located in Beverly Hills, California. The updates to the 1960's office building included new finishes, lighting, restrooms and elevator cabs, giving it a fresh and contemporary feel.

The two-story ground floor lobby is dramatically lit from the edges, with the light grazing over Venetian plaster and wood paneled walls. New lighting, carpeting, and wall covering all serve to open up the existing narrow and low spaces.

New tenant signage was designed to complement the building finishes, and all restrooms, elevator cabs and tenant corridors were brought into ADA compliance.
